Before we knew of Holosound, we knew of Alex Fish – the head of US Development at Pulse Radio who (not by coincidence) tends to frequent the same momentous festivals and parties we do. Through his work and music, top 10 online casinos Fish has inevitably created strong ties in our niche. He’s that guy that knows everybody. Basically, he’s the ultimate mutual friend (or at least by Facebook standards).

As Holosound, Fish is a globetrotter. Coming off recent shows in Panama and Brazil, in the coming months he’ll be hitting Miami, Los Angeles, Tulum, Moscow, Colombia and Ibiza. The summer holds yet another set of gigs abroad. On the production side, he recently released on HNQO’s Playperview imprint along with Cameo Culture, and has also hinted an upcoming collaboration with Walker & Royce.

After a few nudges from our end, we finally got Holosound to drop us with an exclusive mix. What he gave us is a succulent two hours of deep tunes to get lost in.

Get to know Alex, and listen to the mix below. Click here to download (right click and save).

Local Love: Holosound in New York City by Gaby Izarra on Mixcloud

Track at the moment: Digitaria – Shine (Waff Remix)
Classic track: I’m shit with classics because I have such a short attention span. The next time someone plays something old and I like it, I’ll tell you. :)
Label: Off Recordings
Club: International: Warung Local: Output
Gig this year: So far I’d have to say Fosfobox in Rio de Janeiro but I hope 2013 serves up many more contenders.
EDM festival: The BPM Festival
Clothing store: Give me another year and disposable income I don’t immediately dump back into more travel, and I’ll give you a more nuanced answer. At the moment I only buy stuff when something I have rips, breaks or gets stained.
Deli meat: Boar’s Head Peppercorn Turkey
Superpower: Telekinesis or Inception

Listen to Holosound’s latest track, “Show You” on Playperview.

Sync or beatmatch: Beatmatch, til deaf do us part
Big gig or small gig: Nine times out of 10 if the right people are there and things sound good, smaller is better. OR huge gigs with huge booths so you can have your own mini party amidst a festival type setting.
Single or taken: single emotionally, taken by my career with music and Pulse Radio
Puppy or kitten: Puppy

If you weren’t DJing, what would you be doing? Writing about the underground scene, trying to build something bigger than myself that will last.
