Enki and RebelLION Records, a match made in trippy, counter-culture, electronic music heaven. RebelLION, ironically, so centered in being off-center with today’s house trends just released Enki’s debut on their label, Tim Burton Abduction. Enki, born in France (boy, the French are really pumping out some great dance floor music lately), claims to be an expert at magic and describes his productions as Alien House and Cosmic Techno– listen to the EP and you couldn’t find a better genre to tag it as.
We got a chance to speak with the space man himself about his recent debut on RebelLION, aliens and dancing in the nude.
EP Name: Tim Burton Abduction
Record Label: RebelLION
Release date: 24 September
Genre(s): Techno
EP production experience (i.e. inspiration; obstacles; how long it took; finding remixers, etc): The inspiration for this song is a bit strange I must say, because as usual I was at my computer and I took my machine software and I listened to the sound that way, and then I started playing notes with a different machine and that way put together the main loop very quickly, maybe in half an hour. And I found I liked the sound, it sounded unusual. I got the feeling of being in a Tim Burton movie and in one day, I finished the track.
(But the real truth brother is that one night, the aliens came to me and I took me into space in their mother ship, they said I must first take a change of clothes as I was to stay with them several days in order to carry out research on my DNA, so I took my laptop in case I got bored in the waiting room and when I got there, so was Tim Burton. I started a beat and Tim played the piano in space… but do not tell anyone, this must remain confidential.)
Favorite Track of the EP:
Tim Burton Abduction is my favorite track
Artists supporting EP:
The aliens liked this track a lot. Myself, Tim and the aliens tried out some new drugs (not dangerous drugs ok ? drugs are not good no take a drugs my little friend) in space and I playing this one, all the universe dancing nude under the full moon, it was really amazing.
