When mybeatFix resident DJ Robert Tellier and myself first began our decent into underground house and techno, our playlists were Kaiserdisco heavy. These guys have been putting out fun, dance-floor moving beats for years so it was inevitable that the duo put together an imprint, KD Music, to share even more of their sound and others’ sound with the world.
Not even a year old, the German imprint has already had solid releases from producers like F.Sonik, Kernel Key, Oliver Klein, Kolombo, Tim Richards, Danny Serrano and of course, the Kaiserdisco boys themselves. Patrick and Frederic (who make up Kaiserdisco) continue to produce music that keeps listeners and dancers captivated from lazy deep-house to minimal-techno and groovy tech-house, so it was only fitting that the label showcased artists that displayed the same qualities.
Recently, we got a chance to include KD Music in our newest series on mybeatFix spotlighting music labels from around the globe. Below, Patrick and Frederic give a bit of insight into what went in to starting their label and what the label has planned in the near future.

Reason/ Concept behind creating the label: It was important for us to have our own platform. Not only to release tracks by ourselves, because for us it is also very important to give young artists a chance to release their music.
Production experience: It’s not that easy to create a new label and push it into a successful one. But we are very happy and thankful that we have friends and fans like Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola etc who have made it a bit easier for us.
Inspirations (DJing, producing, life in general): We are inspired by everything but specially by travelling. The best part of all these long flights to Canada, South America, India, Asia and more is that we are able to get a lot of cultural inspiration. In Europe it is nearly all the same now; it’s still nice but not the same like when you go on the street in Hong Kong or smelling the Amazonas in Colombia.
Current projects on the label: Hollen will make his debut on KD Music at the end of August. We are big fans of this Italian youngster and sure there will be lots more to come from him in the future! For the 10th release we have the last Kaiserdisco EP of 2012!

Future projects or plans for the label: We will release our first compilation in October called “Kaiserdisco presents KD Music Vol.1”. The compilation will feature around 8 great and exclusive tracks. Also working on something special for our 1 year of KD Music in December, and we will release the 2nd Album of Kaiserdisco on KD Music in 2013. We will also focus on the artists we have signed 2012 and will release some follow ups.
