Some say family and business don’t mix, but it was business as usual when cousins Federico Lou and mybeatFix resident, Robert Tellier reunited in New York this weekend. Federico, who used to DJ our earliest parties, has been sorely missed after leaving Miami for Connecticut earlier this year. After Robert’s recent move up to New York a back-to-back set was all but inevitable.
The duo we affectionately call “Los Primos Chinos” go on a quick journey from deep tech into some higher hitting tech house. After listening the first time I get feelings of Cadenza style “Vagabundo Tech” with shades of the Robot Heart sound at Burning Man. A versatile set– today’s deep grooves matched with heavy latin elements. Easy to listen to, but also more than enough to rock a dance floor.
