mybeatFix prepares for IDentity 2012

It seems that here in Miami the music never stops. Whether you’re going to catch a show at LIV, Electric Pickle, the Triple A, The Fillmore, or at local bar, there are always tunes to be heard.

Blinded by sunshine and big boobs, many Miamians fail to realize that we aren’t the only city on the map blessed with the forever-giving gift of music and live entertainment. While we certainly do get the chance to see a slew of shows down here in sunny South Florida, so do several other towns across America. Where am I going with all of this? Well, 14 other cities to be exact.

IDentity Festival 2012IDentity Festival, which is a touring electronic music festival, is a perfect example of how committed people and entertainment are to each other all around the US. Making its debut in the summer of 2011, the festival was a huge success in all of the cities it visited. Music lovers and party-goers alike couldn’t wait for the festival to touch down in their town. Since there are so many styles of dance music being played, the festival brings out everyone from true music fans, to fraternity bros, classic ravers and half-naked hooligans. This traveling concert series gives crowds all across the country a chance to experience the same festival, and this year, it will be touching down in 15 cities.

The second annual tour, presented by iHome and Rockstar Energy Drink, will kick off in Cincinatti on July 19.  It will then continue on to Detroit, Toronto, Mansfield, Bristow, Wantagh, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Tampa, Miami, Dallas, Houston, Mountain View, San Diego, and finally to Pheonix on August 19.

So who can you expect to see at the Festival? Well, that depends on YOUR location. All the artists who are affiliated with IDentity 2012 are listed below in alphabetical order, but appearance varies a bit with each city (be sure to check out the official site for more information on each stop).

AppLine-up:
Adrian Lux, Arty, Audrey Napoleon, Bingo Players, Cole Plante, Datsik, Doctor P, DVBBS, Eric Prydz, Eva Simmons, Excision, Hardwell, JDevil, Kerli, Le Castle Vania, Madeon, Nero, Noisia, Paul Van Dyke, Porter Robinson, Rye Rye, Showtek, Stephan Jacobs, The Eye, The Gaslamp, Wolfgang Gartner

With so many artists on the line-up, there’s likely to be several you know you’re dying to see and maybe a few you’ve never heard of and should probably check out. No matter which stop of the 2012 IDentity Festival tour you’re closest to, I pinky promise it’s going to be worth it.

One recommendation: be sure to get your tickets before they all sellout. General admission tickets are on sale now for only $40, but will go up to $60 before you know it. Get them before they’re gone! Another tip, be sure to download the IDentity Festival app if you have an iPhone or Android for updates on ID artists, photos, videos, and more.
