Although I’m pretty sad I missed Laidback Luke at LIV in Miami last night (considering last time was pretty epic), at least he’s coming to Gainesville to party with the Gators today. Now that he’s done causing trouble down south, you can expect this electronic music phenomenon to surely do some damage up in North Florida. If you haven’t seen him perform before, you are in for a treat. As a globally known Dutch DJ, Luke not only puts on a killer show (typically dressed as a super hero for his Super You & Me themed parties), but his music is loved by EDM fans of all genres. It’s no suprise that last year Luke was voted number 17 in DJ Mag’s Top 100 poll. As electronic music continues to grow in popularity, Luke manages to maintain a humble persona and deliver a unique performance every time I see him. When he hosted his Super You & Me party during Ultra Music Festival in Miami, he freakin’ dropped Bass Cannon! For his show here in Gainesville, I can only hope that he pulls crazy tunes like that one out of his bag. If you haven’t purchased your tickets to the show yet, be sure to get them so you don’t miss out!
