Top ten summer tracksBy Gaby Izarra

We’ve dragged it out weekend after weekend, persisting – convinced that it wouldn’t end. It couldn’t. But it has. The summer uk casino games online is over, and to honor the season that made it acceptable to go out five nights a week, I’ve compiled a list of the most epic tracks this season bestowed upon me.

Check out the list below, and if you find yourself in disagreement, just take a glance at the title in bold and reread the “Editor’s picks” part. Hey. That’s me.

10. Guti – All The Girls; Desolat
Guti was the man this summer, getting praise from ears all over the industry. I mean, you have something to brag about when even Loco Dice thinks you’re hot shit. His album “Patio De Juegos” put him on the map in the EDM scene, and at No. 10, “All The Girls” assured him a place here for life.

9. Mark Fanciulli – The Tide (Joris Voorn Edit); Rejected Records
Who knew Nic Fanciulli had a brother? Despite the Nic/Mark confusion when the track was released, Joris Voorn’s remix of “The Tide” at No. 9 was a staple at parties around the globe this summer. Powerful vocals and that little whistle of a melody helped this one top charts and hearts.

8. Lazaro Casanova – I Got This Feeling; Leftroom Records
When I downloaded this track, I had absolutely no idea that Lazaro Casanova roams the same streets of Miami that I do. I found out he was playing the Techno Loft at Space and I flipped, completely oblivious to the fact that he’s a local and plays at Tropicasa every Wednesday. Please excuse my ignorance. Casanova fell into my life with his track “I Got This Feeling” coming in at No. 8 on my list. It’s funky, and I love it.

7. Jesse Perez – Sally Says Woah; Mr. Nice Guy
Jesse Perez – AKA Mr. Ass Clap – is a friend and a hell of a producer. At No. 7 on my list is Jesse’s “Sally Says Woah”, a track that resonated through the summer getting play party after party. I will also mention that his label, Mr. Nice Guy, is whooping shit at the moment. Go Jesse!

6. Aquarius Heaven – Universe; Circus Company
I may or may not get emotional as I write about this one because at No. 6, Aquarius Heaven’s “Universe” is like the birth of baby Jesus. F•cking breathtaking. To date I’ve only heard it out at a club twice (both times at Electric Pickle in Miami), and I’m going to go ahead and say that that’s a problem. I’ve never been able to decipher the lyrics, but who needs to? With a taste of some sexy hip-hop, the track’s not even categorized as house. Electronica…? More like sex.

5. Thugfucker – Disco Gnome (Tale Of Us Remix); Defected Records
Who was I before Tale of Us, and how did I live without them? One of my favorite discovered artists from the summer, German duo Tale of Us is the chips in a chocolate chip cookie. At No. 5, the Tale of Us remix of Thugfucker’s “Disco Gnome” was one of the first to put me in a never-ending binge of deep house.

4. Waifs & Strays – Yeah Yeah; Leftroom Records
At one point this summer, it was obscene how often I replayed this track, but you have to understand that it’s really just that awesome. At No. 4 on my list, Waifs & Stray’s “Yeah Yeah” is so damn uplifting that I vote it could easily cure a broken heart. Waifs & Strays also has some really promising releases out at the moment. “Be Patient” is sexy as hell.

3. Julio Bashmore – Battle For Middle You; PMR
Even though this track was released early this year, few others made crowds get down on the dancefloor this summer like Julio Bashmore’s “Battle For Middle You”. The vocals literally call for it, and no lie, they were incredibly effective — including when DJ Heidi dropped it during her visit to Miami in June. Coming in No. 3 on my list, “Battle For Middle You” kept shit cool in the Miami heat.

2. Danny Daze – Your Everything; Hot Creations
No big deal, Hot Creations just slapped us with the two biggest releases of the summer dropping Danny Daze’s “Your Everything” and Hot Natured’s “Forward Motion”. At No. 2, “Your Everything” played hard to get for a while until its digital release date on July 11. I heard it everywhere and couldn’t have it. Talk about a tease.

1. Hot Natured – Forward Motion feat. Ali Love; Hot Creations
This is a track that months after its release date is still being dropped set after set in both the underground and commercial worlds. At No. 1, Hot Natured’s “Forward Motion” takes the cake for getting the most love this summer.
