Don’t you just love it when all sorts of factors fall into place with perfect timing and produce masterful results? This year the IMS (International Music Summit) billed house music legend Sasha to produce it’s anthem for this year’s conference in Ibiza. The IMS couldn’t of asked at a better time with Sasha preparing the launch of his new label Last Night On Earth. Sasha commissioned Swedish vocalist Krister Linder and together they gave the IMS and Ibiza “Cut Me Down,” a sort of progressively minimal tech house track (if that makes sense to you.) At the conference Sasha explained his production method then, on stage, handed over parts of digital creation to UK duo Layo and Bushwacka for a live remixing session. The duo left out the grungy bottom and added their own Ibiza appropriate “bells and whistles” (not literally bells and whistles.) When the two were done with their remix there you had it, the first releases on Sasha’s new label. One for the record books.
