Cadenza and Desolat in Miami

Alberto Roman August 30, 2011 0

This weekend, two of the most sought-after DJs around the globe will make appearances in Miami. Friday at The Fontainebleau with Vagabundos’ Luciano and Robert Dietz, and Sunday at Space with Loco Dice and Guti. The two headliners offer two of the best sounds from around the world. Loco Dice pounds the crowd relentlessly with beats and technical mastery while Luciano becomes a part of the party itself with emotional bombs and a lack of fear — forgetting he’s at “work” and mixing on whim, not concerned with the technical precision that so many DJs aim to achieve. The two giants also bring along prodigies Guti and Robert Dietz from the Desolat and Cadenza camps respectively. The two parties promise to be completely opposite in crowd, attire, atmosphere and overall vibe, but both parties will be, for lack of a better word, AMAZING.

The 12 hours of Cadenza will be split in half — six hours poolside at the Fontainebleau and six hours inside at Arkadia. Pending good weather, expect all the beautiful Fontainebleau regulars showing off sexy bodies alongside the ever-growing Miami underground movement. Almost a clash of scenes, if you will. A testament to Miami’s ability to bring everybody together as long as there is music, booze and beautiful people. Luciano and Robert Dietz are guaranteed to bring that world-famous Cadenza Vagabundo sound. Jazz and latin-infused house and techno music with relentless hi hats and driving basses. Luciano himself is one of the great emotional tour-de-forces on the DJing circuit.

With a day to rest (if you choose to rest) you now have Loco Dice and Guti at Miami’s (maybe the US’s) most popular club: Space. Loco Dice is no stranger to The Terrace at Club Space. Last year he rocked it for 10 hours and at his return earlier this year he reportedly went for 15. Widely regarded as one of the best marathon DJs around, Dice is almost guaranteed to play for double digit hours on Sunday. However, this party will be no emotional tour-de-force like Luciano’s. More like having rough sex with music. Dice always brings the hardest, grooviest, most driving dance-til-you-drop beats to the table. And coincidentally, his partner on The Terrace, Guti, is somewhat the Desolat counterpart to Cadenza’s Robert Dietz. Guti’s productions are getting played all over the planet and his live shows are also making a lot of noise. Miami got a taste of this recently at the Electric Pickle, but there is no need to say that Guti will definitely be bringing his A+ game to the table while playing with the master Loco Dice on the infamous Terrace of Club Space.

These parties are can’t-miss events. We don’t get many opportunities to see top shelf dance music like this in Miami. Below I have added links to purchase tickets to the events and live sets from each of the DJs mentiones. The sets are sure to get you more than motivated to make it to these parties. Do not sleep on these guys people!
