Ultra Music Festival not your scene? Was one Masquerade Motel enough for you? Need more of that underground tech-house/ techno sound? There is an outlet: Sunday School: The Lost Weekend is here to satisfy your thirst for the groove. Although, this lineup may not be as long or as star-studded as those of UMF and Masquerade, this three day festival offers some of the biggest names around the world in the tech-house and techno scenes.
The event is being held at Ice Palace, a film studio notorious for some of the craziest underground raves in Miami since the late 90s. In previous years the event has provided performances from greats such as Adam Beyer, Danny Howells, Ida Engberg, Marco Carola, Joris Voorn, Lee Burridge and Sebastian Leger. This year they have added a third day and twice as many DJs.
You can expect the usual seamless sets from the big names like Richie Hawtin, Victor Calderone, Loco Dice, Adultnapper and Luciano. However, look out for the likes of Mr. C, Martin Buttrich, tINI, Steve Bug, Guy Gerber, Seth Troxler (I can list the entire lineup here). They are all known for dropping some true underground, Ibiza/Berlin/Amsterdam-style, techy beats on the dance floor.
So, if you’re tired of the expensive ticket prices, repetitive headliners and all the music you already have on your iPods go check out Sunday School for Degenerates at the Ice Palace Miami March 25-27. Get a taste of a true groovy Miami style festival.
